Okay, quick confession: I used to be the kind of person who didn’t notice trees unless they dropped something on my head.
But then came a Gulmohar bloom.
It was one of those post-rain Bangalore evenings—the sky washed, the traffic surprisingly polite, and this insanely orange tree just standing there like it was on fire. I took a photo. Then another. Then, somewhere between that and my third cup of chai, I thought, Why don’t we talk about these trees more?
So I made a bookmark.
And then another one.
Before I knew it, I was deep in a rabbit hole of Bangalore’s native trees—Cassia Fistula, Neem, Bougainvillea, Indian Laburnum, even the cheeky little Popcorn Bush. I started sketching them, 3D modeling them, reading stories about them. And eventually, I started putting them between pages—so that every time someone opened a book, they’d get a little piece of Bangalore inside.
🌼 Why Trees? Why Bookmarks?
Honestly, because they both feel kind of timeless.
Trees stand still while everything changes around them. And bookmarks? They’re these tiny anchors inside books—reminders of where you paused, where you were, what mattered to you when you last closed that chapter.
Putting them together felt… right.
Now, every design I make has a bit of Bangalore in it. Not the tech parks or the traffic or the overpriced dosas—but the real Bangalore. The leafy lanes. The Sunday morning walks. That one shady tree near Blossom Book House that gives you the perfect excuse to stop and stare.

📖 What I Love Most
People don’t just use these bookmarks—they connect with them. One customer said the Cassia Fistula reminded her of her childhood schoolyard. Someone else bought the Neem one as a gift for their ayurveda-loving dad.
They’re not just bookmarks. They’re tiny pieces of nostalgia, rooted in our city.

💬 Final Thought
The next time you walk down a Bangalore street, look up.
That tree you’ve passed a hundred times? It probably has a story. And maybe—just maybe—it deserves a place in your book.
